COVID-19 Updates

Dear BFCS Families, 

BFCS is committed to providing ongoing guidance and resources as we sort through this unprecedented situation together.

School will start on August 3rd, 2020 with remote learning for all students. Once in-person learning is available on August 17th, 2020 those students opting for in-person learning may return to campus. All others will continue with remote learning. 

We will always strive to do what is best for our students, families, teachers, and staff. Please continue to monitor your email and other communication channels for additional information - we will keep the letters, resources, and other information on this web page for easy reference.

Important Information About 20/21 Remote Learning

Know the symptoms info poster: Students, staff, and visitors must not enter if they have any flu-like symptoms

Parents and guardians will be responsible for daily at-home screenings for their students. Students must not come to school if they have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever or chills
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Muscle aches
  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Cough
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • New loss of taste or smell

 All students will have the opportunity to make up work missed due to symptoms of COVID-19. Benjamin Franklin Charter School will also not be giving out attendance awards for the duration of the COVID-19 health crisis. Please help keep our families, staff, and faculty safe.
